A toddler has fallen out of a window in southwest Calgary.
It happened at a building in the community of Lincoln Park late Thursday afternoon.
EMS was called to an address in the 4500 block of Richardson road and transported the boy to Alberta Children’s Hospital.
EMS Stuart Brideaux tells 660News he reportedly fell out of the window and 12 feet to the ground when he pushed through a screen.
There has been more than a dozen incidents in recent months of young children suffering significant injuries when falling out of windows.
Alberta Health Services says it’s become a growing concern. It is reminding parents to keep young children away from open windows and don’t let them lean on screens.
