It was a smoky Saturday night for residents in a northwest apartment building after a two alarm blaze.
The fire department was called to Centre Street and 27th Avenue just after 10 p.m. to find smoke coming from a second story window.
Battalion chief Al Magwood tells 660News the window quickly shattered as a result of the heat and pressure inside the suite.
Magwood says eight suites in the building were evacuated and firefighters contained the damaged to one suite.
One person was treated on scene for smoke inhalation. The cause of the fire is still unknown.
