West LRT getting millions in art

A project to beautify the West LRT is still on track despite some roadblocks.
Members of the Community and Protective Services’ Committee endorsed a suggestion by a 4-3 vote to invest more cash into public art.
The committee identified $3.6-million in available funding that could be put into aesthetics for the LRT.
Alderman Shane Keating says it’s unfair to Calgarians to be taking money from 26 other projects to make up for the deficit.
The Calgary Sun reports some in council feel the art policy needs review.
