Privacy concerns over new law

Critics are concerned about a new law that gives police easier access to personal information when investigating missing persons cases.
The legislation makes it easier for police to search things like your cellphone and computer records, employment, education and health files.
Liberal MLA Laurie Blakeman tells the Calgary Herald she’s horrified by how much information the changes allow law enforcement to collect.
She admits they did it for the right reasons but says it’s not the solution because it’s too significant an invasion of privacy.
The law came into effect Friday.
