Police have a crime scene cordoned off at a field in Acadia after a woman was attacked Saturday morning.
Duty Inspector Mike Tillotson tells 660News the victim was found by someone passing by in the area of 90th Avenue and Bonaventure Drive around 7:30 a.m.
“A female in her 30’s had been assaulted. When officers arrived, they did in fact find a female had been assaulted quite badly. The investigation is still very early and were determining exactly what happened,” Tillotson says.
The victim is in hospital with serious injuries to her head and face.
Police are still trying to determine a description of the suspect but at this point they think the attack might have been random.
