New Year’s Eve killing suspect denied bail

The man accused of an execution style killing on New Year’s Eve in Calgary has been denied bail.
A judge says she’s detained Ahmed Mohamed to “maintain confidence in the judicial system.”
Mohamed could face lengthy jail time in the death of a man who was chased down a downtown street and shot multiple times in the early hours of Jan. 1, 2011.
The Calgary Sun reports police have nearby surveillance footage they believe identifies Mohamed.
He will appear in court again on November 5th.
