Quebec cardiologist among missing after avalanche on Nepali mountain: report

A Cardiologist from Quebec may be among those missing after an avalanche struck a group of 14 climbers who were attempting to scale Mount Manaslu, the eighth highest peak in the world.
British newspaper The Telegraph said the climbers were at approximately 24,000 feet when they were caught in an avalanche Sunday.
At least nine climbers are dead and another six or seven are missing. Reports indicate five of them may be French nationals while another is an Italian and another is a Canadian.
Five climbers were rescued and are being treated at a hospital in Kathmandu.
Reports indicate a man from British Columbia is among the survivors. The Revelstoke Times Review said Greg Hill had been blogging and Tweeting about his Himalayan adventure, which included skiing and mountain climbing.
In a recent post by Hill he said he was fine and his team helped with the rescue following the avalanche.
