The leader of Wildrose and former federal Liberal leader Michael Ignatieff will be going head-to-head in a debate next month in Cowtown.
The dinner and debate is dubbed “Would the End of Equalization Mean the End of Canada?”
It will take place October 18 at the Calgary Petroleum Club.
Danielle Smith will be arguing the up-for-review equalization program needs to be reformed.
She tells The Calgary Sun the program isn’t working well for Alberta, and Canada needs to work towards a point where every province can chart a path to financial independence.
