Calgary cookhouse welcomes canines

Calgarians will soon be able to take their pooches out for a pint at Ranchman’s on Macleod Trail.

Approval from Alberta Health Services coincides with the southwest cookhouse’s 40th anniversary.

Man’s best friend will be allowed on the front patio starting Saturday; it’s been specially customized to accommodate the pups.

Canines can take advantage of a newly-built dog run in the back, complete with doggy water bowls.

Ranchman’s joins pooch-friendly establishments in Las Vegas, Houston and New York.
