CFIA suspends XL Foods licence

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is suspending the operating licence of the XL Foods packing facility in Brooks, as of Thursday evening.
Reports say the company won’t be able to resume operations until it implements the CFIA’s corrective actions, due to continued E-coli fears.
The organization issued at least eight recall alerts for ground beef products from the Brooks plant since last week.
