Driver hurt after a rollover on Glenmore Trail

Crews had to rescue a driver after a rollover Saturday night on Glenmore Trail.

At around 8:20 p.m. a westbound vehicle flipped while travelling up the ramp to northbound Deerfoot Trail.

Acting Battalion Chief Edward Cornez tells 660News they had to pull the driver free through the back of the vehicle.

“They probably went through the rear window dropped her from her seatbelt onto the spineboard. Then took her out on the spineboard so EMS could look after her.”

One lane on westbound Glenmore Trail was shut down for about an hour while crews went to work.

The extent of the driver’s injuries is not known and Calgary police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.
