Study finds oilsands pollution has little impact

Pollution from the province’s oilsands may not have a widespread effect.
A new study shows in 2010, Suncor Energy released pollutants weighing the equivalent of 4,800 busses into the environment near Fort McMurray.
The Globe and Mail reports researchers at the University of Waterloo found there was little impact on the regional environment or on people living downstream.
However, critics dispute the findings because the research was funded by Suncor.
