Police looking for suspect in alleged attempted abduction

A scary Tuesday evening for a young teen, out walking her dog in the city’s southwest.
Police say around 6 p.m. Tuesday, a teen was walking her dog near the woodbine area when a man driving a truck pulled up beside her and demanded she get in.
Staff Sgt. Craig Skelton tells 660News the girl ran off and told her parents who called police.
“At this point were concerned that someone would choose to approach a young girl on a street like this and wanted to make the public aware and hopefully generate some information regarding a potential suspect, he says”
The driver of the truck is described as between 45-55 years old, with brown hair and was wearing a brown shirt at the time.
The truck, a dark coloured pickup, carrying a black toolbox with writing on it.
