Canada’s Safety Council issues hunting advisories

After four hunting-related deaths this month in our country, the Canada Safety Council is out with over a dozen safety advisories.
Two hunters were killed in Ontario, a young woman in Alberta and a son shot by his father in Saskatchewan, all so far in October.
Because of these accidents, the group is pushing hunters to keep safety in mind like keeping your finger off the trigger until ready to shoot and relying on sight and not sound.
Other tips include wearing an orange blazer, not hunting while impaired in populated areas or where several hunters are already present.
The CSC also pushes for hunters to take a Canadian Firearms Safety Course and for experienced hunters to take refreshers.
