Lakeside Packers partially re-opens

The recall-ridden XL Foods plant in Brooks will start letting workers in for training.
An advertisement running on local radio says all employees will be back at Lakeside Packers next Monday and will either be trained Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of this week.
The plant has been closed for almost a month, after higher than normal levels of E. coli were detected in beef processed at the plant, resulting in a world wide recall.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has not yet reinstated the company’s operating license, and is still in the process of finalizing its report and recommendations.
