Wolf killed in Banff National Park

Officials in Banff National Park say a wolf was killed on Highway 1 after being hit by a vehicle west of Castle Junction.
Parks Canada says no one has taken responsibility for hitting the animal and they continue to investigate.
Spokesperson Omar McDadi said they are saddened by and regret the loss of the wolf and the contribution it would have made to the ecosystems of Banff National Park over the long term.
They are still trying to determine which pack the wolf belonged to.
