Catholic School Board agrees to consult on HPV vaccine

The Calgary Catholic School Board passed a motion Wednesday night that will see them take another look at administering the HPV vaccine in city schools.

The Board of Trustees has asked their Chief Superintendent to commence a consultation process with parents in the coming weeks.

This could mean girls in the Catholic system would receive the vaccine as part of Alberta Health Services school vaccination program.

The CCSD oversees 105 schools and around 49-thousand students.
