Highway 566 crash claims man’s life

One man is dead following a two vehicle crash near CrossIron Mills on Highway 566 at Range Road 292.
A small car and pickup truck collided in the intersection around 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening.
A man driving the car was pronounced dead on scene, while another man driving the truck was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Airdrie RCMP Constable Robert Frizzell tells 660News, the investigation is ongoing and collision analysts are still trying to piece together what happened; whether it was road conditions, alcohol, speed or other factor.
Police are not releasing the identities of either men, until next of kin are notified.
