Man charged with sexually assaulting child

A 62 year old Calgary man has been charged with sexually assaulting a 7 year old girl.

Police received a complaint October 24 , about someone inappropriately touching a child at local school.

Wednesday investigators arrested and charged Chi Shing Tam, also known as Simon Tam, with one count each of sexual assault and sexual interference with a child under 16.

Police say Tam was a relief cleaner at the school where she attended.

His first court date will be December 19th, 2012.

Anyone with information is being being urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers.
