Calgary marks Remembrance Day

Many Remembrance Day ceremonies will be available for the public to attend on Sunday, November 11.

For travellers, a service will be held at the Calgary International Airport with a pipe band and honour guard parade.

The Military Museums on Crowchild Trail S.W. will be offering an outdoor ceremony and are asking attendees to please dress warmly.

Sunrise ceremonies are taking place daily along Memorial Drive; until Remembrance Day, a flag is raised at The Field of Crosses to honour families who’ve lost sons and daughters to war.

Ceremonies will also be held at Gulf Canada Square and at Battalion Park in the S.W.
