Street racing crash shuts down Deerfoot

A man is in serious condition after a single vehicle crash that shut down Deerfoot Trail in the south.
Just after 2 a.m. Monday, the man was ejected from his vehicle at Deerfoot Trail and Anderson Rd. S.E. and Bow Bottom Trail.
Police say the 28-year-old man is lucky to be alive.
Investigators tell 660News it’s believed the man was street racing, doing upwards of 150km/h when he lost control of his Porsche and hit a light standard at the bottom of the embankment.
The force of the crash sent his tires 100 metres on the other side of the road.
The man was rushed to hospital with two broken femurs, a ruptured spleen and bruised lungs.
His condition has been upgraded from life-threatening to serious.
Officers are still looking for the driver of a second vehicle.
