Girl bit in face by pitbull terrier

Calgary police are investigating after a seven year old girl was bitten in the face by a pitbull terrier in Bridlewood.

EMS responded Sunday afternoon to Bridleglen Road southwest, the girl had a laceration on her face and was rushed to hospital.

Her injuries were non-life threatening.

CPS says the girl was bitten near her eye.

Animal bylaw services have the dog in custody.
