The Calgary Stampeders and their fans are wondering what went wrong, as the red and white were 35 – 22 losers to the Toronto Argonauts in the 100th Grey Cup.
The Argos’ dominated all facets of the contest, holding the league’s top rusher, Stampeders running back Jon Cornish to just 57-yards on the ground.
Toronto also capitalized on Stampeder turnovers, posting a 24 – 6 lead by the half.
The host of the Big Show on Sportsnet 960 the Fan, tells 660News, as a team the Stamps were horrible.
Pat Steinberg says Stampeder Q.B. Kevin Glenn was in-effective at best and the
Argos’ defence was dominant.
Despite the big disappointment on the scoreboard, the 2012 campaign was successful for the Stampeders, with the club claiming the Western Division title, looking to use that as well as the Grey Cup loss as motivation for 2013.
