Two more arrested in connection with Ryan Lane homicide

Three people are now in police custody in connection with the death of Calgary man Ryan Lane.

Charges are pending against a man and a woman arrested Thursday, one day after another man was arrested in Grand Prairie.

Unconfirmed reports say the trio in custody is Sheena Rempel, the mother of Lane’s child, her husband Tim Rempel, and his brother, Will Rempel.

The arrests come one week after police revealed they had found Lane’s skeletal remains.

CPS made an unorthodox announcement that they were close to laying first degree murder charges against three people.

Lane went missing in February in the Country Hills Boulevard area.

Police have not revealed when they found Lane’s remains, and only officially declared his death a homicide last week.

Lane’s parents say their son’s last wish was to be in his daughter’s life, and that the 24-year old had just received visitation rights before he was killed.
