Christmas shopping may be less stressful downtown

You don’t have to go on-line or hit the malls to find those Christmas gifts and goodies.

Caralyn Macdonald with the Calgary Downtown Business Association says many people forget to visit the core in the weeks leading up December 25th.

“Not the usual stress that you would find, although it is getting busier and busier as holiday shopping is starting.  It’s still much more relaxing than the chaos you can endure in other places,” says Macdonald.

She says there are plenty of deals on parking downtown during the holiday season.

Shoppers are also treated to numerous light displays and roving carollers.
