Toronto unofficially breaks temperature record for Dec. 4

We have unofficially topped a temperature record for December 4, after temperatures hit 16 C at Pearson Airport Tuesday morning.

Some reports had temperatures reaching up to 16.2 C, although the official numbers have not yet been released.

The previous record was 15.9 C, set back in 1998.

CityNews meteorologist Jill Taylor said there is a small chance a thunderstorm will hit the GTA sometime on Tuesday.

However, it’s expected to be more seasonal by Wednesday, with a daytime high of 2 C.

Several temperature records in the GTA have been snapped this year as relatively warm weather has been widespread across much of southern Ontario.
