Fall session of legislature wraps up

One of the most heated and lively sessions in the Alberta legislature has ended.

It wrapped up with some joking but started on a more serious note with the Premier and Wildrose leader exchanging words.

“What about the Lynn Redford Amendment that would have opened up details of illegal contributions dating all the way back to 2005, now we can guess why that was rejected but why doesn’t the premier tell us?” asked Danielle Smith.

Redford responded with “Mr. Speaker, to me this question period is nothing but an exclamation point on the decorum that has been inappropriately shown in this house Mr. Speaker.”

Despite all that, Premier Redford thought the session was fantastic and members passed many pieces of legislation.
