Vigil for Brandon

Hundreds turned out in Cochrane Saturday night to remember Brandon Thomas, killed in a crash on Thursday.

The 17-year-old died in a head-on collision with an alleged drunk driver on Highway 22 while on his way home from an automotive apprentice job in Calgary.

His mother, Kim, says her son is not going to come home again and she is not going to be able to hug him again because someone made a bad decision.

A funeral for Brandon is planned for Wednesday.

22-year-old Ryan Jordan Gibson is facing impaired driving charges and is expected in court this week.
