Nothing brings a thief more joy at Christmas time than a car full of unwrapped presents to steal.
Police have launched “Operation Christmas Presence,” aimed at preventing holiday hearbreak for victims of car prowlings.
Constable Tom Page homes increased police presence will help protect your presents.
“What we do is high visibility and we are looking for people coming out from the malls with large amounts of bags in their possession. We’re hoping to educate them as well as look for suspicious persons in and around the malls at this time of year,” says Page.
Police and local AMA branches are also distributing bright yellow placards that you can place on your dash, letting those would-be grinches know that all valuables have been removed from your car.
