Hundreds of joggers are taking over the Bow River pathways Friday morning for ‘Amble with Angus,’ a five kilometre fun run, walk or roll.
The 11th annual event was founded by Calgarian Angus Cowan with the hope of raising food and funds for the Calgary Food Bank’s Children’s Milk Program.
In 2010, Angus ran for 25 hours straight to raise money for the food bank and in the 24th hour, was joined by 400 “Amblers” going on to raise more than $44,000.
The run starts and ends at the Eau Claire Market.
