Cold snap doesn’t dampen holiday cheer

It’s going to be a cold Christmas break.
Environment Canada predicts a possibility of snow Christmas Eve with a cloudy sky and the temperature steady at around -21 — with the wind chill making it feel like -30.
And while the sun emerges Christmas Day, the temperature is expected to remain around -20.
But Calgarians say Jack Frost won’t keep them from celebrating the holidays.
660News caught up with Graham while he was trundling along without gloves and wearing a particularly ice-chunked moustache.
“Yeah, I can feel it,” he concedes, but still no worries. Ironically, he works in a warehouse freezer.
But he plans on using his indoor holiday time to the max.
“I’ll be sitting in front of the “60-inch” watching my hockey — it’s the only time we can!”
Jean and her mother-in-law, Eleanor, who’s visiting from Ontario, don’t mind the chill in the slightest – they’re bundled up in beautiful, cozy fur coats.
“It is so warm; I love it!” says Jean. “I hope nobody’s too offended…but hey!”
But even without the coats the ladies say they have enough family here this Christmas to keep them toasty warm.
“Warm and busy!” adds Jean.
And as for anyone that’s less than thrilled with Cowtown’s nippy conditions?
Says shopper Rob Ross: “Go somewhere else — [or else] bundle up [with] long johns!”
