New Year’s Eve in Calgary

There is something for everyone this New Year’s Eve in Calgary.
Recs 100 is hosting a family dance party & kid’s countdown at City Hall. You are invited to dress in anything that glows. Inside the atrium there will be numerous activities including games, crafts and fire dancers. The kids New Year will ring in at 9 p.m. and the party goes from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m.

There is also a Family Pool Party at Village Square Leisure Centre from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. A DJ will be playing music and along with water fun, there will be crafts, treats and prizes.
The Calgary Zoo is hosting Zoo Years Eve from 6 to 9 p.m. with fireworks going off at 8:30.
At Olympic Plaza will be the Citytv New Year’s Bash. That starts at 9:30 p.m. and will broadcast at 10.
Performers include Johnny Reid, Serena Ryder, Victoria Duffield and Massari. Mayor Naheed Nenshi will lead everyone in the countdown to 2013 and fireworks will mark the occasion at midnight.
