Taradale house where fatal stabbing took place has a reputation

A Taradale home in the northeast, site of what may be the city’s first murder of 2013, has a bad reputation with neighbours.

The Calgary Sun reports police were called to the home on a few occasions, including recent incidents in which a man was standing outside the two-storey house yelling about money he was owed, and a woman throwing a rock and smashing a window in the  home.

Early Saturday morning, a man in his 30’s was taken from the home in the 100 block of Taradale Close with reported stab wounds.  He later died in hospital. More details about the death are expected following an autopsy.

Police say they’re treating two women, who were in the home at the time of the incident, as witnesses. So far, they have no suspect.

One neighbour says the home was often the site of loud, late-night parties.
