Flames aren’t taking fans for granted

NHL players working out in Calgary Monday insist they’re not taking hockey fans for granted.

As players get ready to report for training camps once the new CBA is ratified, they continue to practice at COP this week.

And while they seem to be excited about getting the season underway, they also realize there’s some fence-mending to do with the fans.

Flames Lee Stempniak is thanking fans for their patience. “It was a long process for everyone, especially for the fans.” He says.

The team’s captain, Jarome Iginla echo’s that statement.

“At least it is going to be a ten year deal and also start to hopefully build some trust between the owners and the players, something that needs to be improved upon obviously and the fans will benefit for that,” said Iginla.
