It’s time to really say goodbye to the holidays.
The city will be collecting Christmas trees along with black cart garbage collection starting Tuesday, January 8.
Trees will be picked up over the next three weeks and recycled into mulch.
For those who don’t have black cart collection or who want to get rid of their tree right away, it can be dropped off at eight various locations until January 27.

The city reminds Calgarians to remove all ornaments, tinsel, lights and tree stands, and not to bag or wrap your tree before pitching it.
