First public penguin walk a success

The first public penguin walk of the season was a waddling success at the Calgary Zoo Monday.
Tons of kids and parents waited excitedly in the cold to see the birds’ debut.
Zookeepers plan to host a stroll with their eight king penguins three times a week.
Spokesperson Trish Exton-Parder says the penguins really enjoy greeting their public and getting some time outside of their enclosure.
She tells The National Post they love Calgary weather and are settling into the climate nicely.
