Dangerous offender hearing for Dustin Paxton

Approval has been given to the Crown to seek dangerous offender status for Dustin Paxton.

Paxton was convicted last February of aggravated assault and sexual assault against a former roommate of his.

After months of delay, the dangerous offender hearing expected to last several weeks has been scheduled to begin July 15.

If Paxton is deemed a dangerous offender, he can be kept in jail indefinitely.
