Calgary’s southeast ring road project is nearing completion and officials are eagerly anticipating the results of the three year long project.
Construction manager Garry Lamb tells 660News the Deerfoot-22X interchange will look considerably different once work is complete.
“New bridge structures carrying traffic that’s either coming off the old 22x, which is going to be renamed Stoney Trail to go south, overtop of the northbound lanes. Also, eastbound on Highway 22x to go North on the Deerfoot…”
Lamb says the $769 million project is set to be finished September 30 of this year.
He anticipates once the work is complete, it will open up alternate routes for travellers in the city.
