Charges laid in Calgary’s first murder of 2013

A 23-year old Calgary man stands accused of committing the city’s first murder of the year.

Walker Eli Risling is facing a charge of second degree murder after turning himself into police.

Mathew John Brown died in hospital after being stabbed in the early morning hours of January 5th during a house party at his home in Taradale.

Arrests have now been made in all three murders this year in Calgary.
