The Alberta Cancer Foundation is putting pressure on the province to build a new cancer centre in Calgary.
The foundation says the increasing need for more treatment space means the project to replace the aging Tom Baker Cancer Centre can’t be put off.
The fundraising agency’s CEO says she’s seen the massive line-ups and waits and says they need to do better.
Many in Calgary’s cancer community want all the services back under one roof.
The Calgary Herald reports the province is keeping mum about a cancer control strategy it intends to roll out in the next couple of months.
