The prices at the pumps have jumped again.
They’ve shot up in the last several days to $109.9 a litre and in some cases up to $1.12.
Local energy economist Peter Linder tells the Calgary Sun, it’s because of higher oil prices.
He expects gas prices to stay about where they are for awhile with another jump in the spring.
Until we get the Keystone pipeline or find a way to get out of this bottleneck in Alberta, Linder says there’s going to be a big discount between the West Texas Intermediate crude price and the world price.
But he says we’re lucky we don’t live in Ontario where they’re paying closer to $1.20 or $1.30.
