A disturbing discovery in the northeast just hours after reports of a violent home invasion just a block away, has neighbours in Tuxedo shaken up.
Around 9:40 Monday morning officers were called the 100 block of 28 Avenue N.E. where they found a man’s body in a car.
The homicide unit has been called into help with the investigation.
So far, investigators are not connecting the death with shots that were fired early Monday morning in the 200 block of 28 Avenue N.E.
Steps away from where the body was discovered is a pre-school.
Daniel, who lives next door, tells 660News he decided to stay home from work with his wife and small kids.
“You know, we’ve been here a couple years, and we’ve never had anything like this.”
Michael, right next door to where a police van was blocking the roadway, says it’s upsetting, but he doesn’t feel unsafe living there.
He says it could have happened in any neighbourhood.
