The Federal Tories are fighting changes to ridings in Saskatchewan after suggestions boundaries should be changed to help the NDP get a foothold.
An independent commission made the recommendation to create five urban ridings in the province, including two in Regina, and three in Saskatoon.
Current federal ridings in Saskatchewan are combinations of urban and rural residents with Conservatives historically capturing most of the seats.
According to The Globe and Mail, Tory MPs are expected to file objections to a parliamentary committee, but Stephen Harper says ultimately, they will leave the decision up to the boundaries commission.
