Watoto Choir in Calgary area

Not only is it a great concert, but also a way to support a great cause.
the Watoto Childrens’ Choir from Uganda is in the Calgary area over the next week holding a number of performances.
Spokesperson Art Henkel says the kids perform about 160 concerts in Canada over a six month period.
“These are seven to 13 year old children. They dance and sing and tell their stories and basically they are tools to raise awareness of what’s taking place in Uganda, and raise funds for the children,” explains Henkel.
Watoto is more than just a choir; the program supports over 5000 kids and women in war-torn uganda.
