A series of novels titled “The Sanibel Sunset Detective” tracks the saga of a most unlikely hero and  is the creation of Canadian writer Ron Base. Showbiz editor Gloria Martin talked to Base about murder, mystery and mayhem in a sleepy land of sun and surf.
