A physician led back pack drive at hospitals across the city has resulted in Tuesdays delivery of nearly 100 back packs stuffed with clothing and other non perishable goods to the Calgary Drop-In Centre.
A centre spokesperson says the donations are appreciated and needed by the 1,200 people that use the facility daily.
One of the doctors involved say this is the fourth year resident physicians have donated their time and money for the cause.
Back pack drives are also happening in Edmonton, Grande Prairie, Lethbridge and Red Deer.
