Province to freeze wages

A three year wage freeze is expected to save $54-million for taxpayers.

The province is close to announcing they will freeze the wages of all management and employees not covered by collective agreements.

Finance Minister Doug Horner is in Calgary today to provide an update on the province’s finances.

The Calgary Sun reports the three year pay hike freeze will kick in April 1st.

Meanwhile, the province is putting the final touches on a budget that will be delivered March 7th.
