Graduating with a diploma and certificate

Some local high school students will be graduating Grade 12 with a diploma and SAIT certificate at the same time!
They’re part of a partnership between the post-secondary institute and the Catholic School District.
The Grade 11 students are taking pharmacy assistant classes twice a week and SAIT’s Dr. Gordon Nixon says this is only the beginning: “We’re looking at some of the trades areas and at some of the other technologies and perhaps an EMT program in the near future.”
He adds they are also floating around the idea of a tri-credential program where students would get a grade 12, SAIT certificate as well as a first-year apprenticeship.
