Calgary couple wins big!

The Calgary couple who won last Friday’s $30-million Lotto Max has already quit their jobs and plan on going on vacation!
Longtime carpenter foreman Darrell Szczebra checked his ticket while waiting for a tattoo appointment in Marda Loop and says he didn’t believe it and neither did his wife Laurie at first.
“My first thought was, ‘I’ve got to drive home,'” Darrell said.
When he found out he had the winning ticket, he cancelled the tattoo appointment immediately.
“I couldn’t sit there with a winning ticket in my pocket,” he explained.
When his wife got home, he told her the news.
“I dropped the bags in my hand and they didn’t get picked up until the next day,” Laurie said. “The way he said it, I knew it was true, but no one else believed it!”
The couple plans on buying a new home and truck as well.
