Mount Royal Village getting makeover

A new vision for Mount Royal Village includes a high-rise condo tower and a retail development.

First Capital Reality Inc. has plans for a $130-million revamping of the area in the southwest.

Plans include building a high end grocery store, office building, and a 32 storey condo tower, as well as making over an existing shopping centre.

Barb Stein from the Uptown 17 Business Revitalization Zone says she’s thrilled with plans to revitalize Mount Royal Village.

She tells The Calgary Herald, she’s looking forward to seeing the final plans.
